Apply a generous amount of Vaseline directly to the tip of the penis for the first four to five days or until redness disappears. If a bowel movement gets on the penis gently clean the area with water and apply Vaseline. Call your pediatrician if you notice a thick yellow or greenish discharge, bad odor or bleeding.
