Don’t overdress your baby; use your own comfort level as a barometer- dress your baby as lightly or as heavily as you dress yourself.
Observe the condition of your baby’s skin and his level of fussiness, for e.g. a crying baby with a red rash on his skin may be too hot and the rash may be a heat rash.
After your baby’s bath, pat dry his skin thoroughly before dressing him, paying special attention to the fold and creases in his skin.
Apply California Baby Moisturizing Cream or California Baby Everyday Lotion to the skin to seal in moisture before dressing your baby.
Before going out in the sun, dress your baby in protective, light colored clothing, a hat with a brim and California Baby Sunscreen if your baby is older than six months old.
